Interdisciplinary Family Health (IFH) emerged
from a grassroots effort of a small group of faculty and students
from the colleges of medicine, pharmacy, dental, and health professions,
who coalesced around the shared mission of collaborative training,
discussion meetings and home visits with volunteer community families.
The program's learning objectives are focused on core curriculum
areas that exist in most healthcare disciplines: interviewing skills,
family systems and health, and preventive medicine. The content
of the interdisciplinary curriculum is practiced in the home visit
experience through service-learning activities.
IFH Health Information Wheel
The Health Information Wheel is a representation of a person's overall health using spokes to convey a number of important aspects of wellness. Individuals can use these aspects and their extensions to help evaluate and improve their overall health and wellness.
